  • Katie Hinnershitz

    General Manager and Instructor

Fitness has been a huge passion of Katie's for 15 years. Growing up, She played three sports and was a collegiate swimmer; her training only consisted of weight lifting and cardio (which was a little boring). Katie has been through many injuries, consisting of tearing multiple ligaments in her knee and also multiple fractures. While Katie recovered she started to realize that recovery is not only physical, but an emotional rollercoaster. The biggest key to success is to stay positive and active! Katie has coached Field Hockey and Swimming; her biggest accomplishment has been to motivate her players, and watch her athletes abilities improve. Katie is a mom to her six year old son, which was not going to be an excuse to not stay in shape! In the last 4 years, Katie has been competing in Sprint Triathlons, fun runs, hiking and finding ways to cross train with Pilates, TRX and HIIT workouts. Katie looks for new ways to combine physical fitness, and fun ways to connect your mind and body together!  What has brought me to Club Pilates is that we are a team that has the same passion, to improve everyone that walks through our door and to help achieve their goals! Not one person is the same and Club Pilates gives people the opportunity

  • Dina Rankin

    Instructor

“When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life.”-John Lennon In everything Dina has explored in her life, she has always really enjoyed human connection. Being passionate about fitness and nutrition were a huge piece of that connection. Believing that when people find an exercise that they “stick” with, it makes a big difference. Pilates made a difference in her life, realizing the impact she could make on others it seemed like the natural next step. • Alison Kakarla

    Instructor

Alison has always led an active lifestyle. She danced from an early age and has a minor in Dance from Penn State. She has also played various sports throughout her life. During her career as a traveling software consultant, she started exploring yoga and other mind-body practices to combat stress. At that time she was also an avid runner, and a dance related knee injury left her feeling increasingly imbalanced. Having danced, she had always heard of Pilates, so she decided to give it a try. Within a short period of time she felt stronger, more balanced, and became hooked. In 2005 she completed her Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced Mat training in Annapolis, MD through Power Pilates, a classical training program. The following year she completed her comprehensive equipment training and began teaching around the Washington, DC area. In the years since she has also taught barre and various core fusion style classes. She hopes to help her students achieve greater body awareness, improve strength, and realize their bodies' fullest potential! When not teaching she is busy with her husband, three children and beagle.
